I'm a new EV driver.  Do you have any tips?

Yes, check our our Helpful Tips page for more information!

Where can I charge?

Each car that we rent includes the standard 110v/120v charger (usually located in the rear hatch).  This enables you to charge the vehicle using any standard outlet at your home, hotel, vacation rental or other lodging accommodation - this method will be best if used overnight.  There are also Level 2 public chargers located throughout the city that can charge your vehicle in as little as 3 hours.  Our Kia Soul EV vehicles are able to charge at the only Level 3 charging location (National Stadium) on the island.  The Level 3 charge location will charge the vehicle to near full in 30 minutes.  The map below can direct you to the nearest public charging station.  For a detailed listing of charging stations, visit our EV Friendly Locations page.

What is the daily mileage limit?

All of our vehicles include unlimited miles.  Simply unplug and drive.

Can I get picked up from the airport?

Of course! We look forward to being the first to welcome you to The Bahamas.  Once you book your vehicle, we will contact you to arrange this complimentary service.  All we need is your flight number, and a Drive Green Rentals agent will be waiting for you at the airport holding a sign with your name!

Do I need to return the car fully charged?

Nope.  You don't have to return full, but please return above 20%.   All of our vehicles are delivered with a full charge.

What payment methods are accepted?

In an effort to be at the forefront of technology and sustainability, we are completely paperless and cashless.  We require a valid credit/debit card for payment at the start of your rental.  We proudly accept Visa, Discover, MasterCard and American Express.

Do I have to make a deposit?

Yes.  At the start of your rental, your credit/debit card will be authorized for an amount up to $200 in addition to your estimated total as a security deposit.  The deposit portion of the authorization/hold will be released once the vehicle is returned and inspected.  This deposit is held to cover late returns, lost items (i.e. smart keys, charging cables), cleaning charges (i.e. smoke smells, spills/stains), vehicle damage, and any fines or parking tickets incurred during the time of the rental.

Where can I find more information on the company?
